  • A comprehensive toolbox
    • Model Preparation - a direction of insertion can be defined and undercuts on the model identified and either fully or partially filled.
    • Shell tools allow a defined thickness of material to be applied over a defined area - the virtual equivalent of a suck-down retainer or layered acrylic on a surface.
    • Wax knife tools for adding / removing / smoothing material.
    • Trimming tools for cutting.
    • Bar extrusion: the user may define a range of bar profiles and this can be extruded along a defined path. The resulting profile may then be adjusted as required.
    • Boolean actions: Models and components can either be combined together or one removed from another.
    • Attachments of standard components (e.g. palatal screw) may be imported and incorporated in the design.
    • Labelling - the case reference may be applied to the surface of the appliance.
  • Virtual Articulators can be used as part of the design process (i.e. splints) or for verification and adjustment of the design by automatically removing material where collisions are anticipated.
