Aoralscan Elite. Changing Intra Oral Scanning Forever
For the past decade we have seen developments in intra oral scanning in terms of speed, accuracy, image quality, software functionality and much more. Boundaries have been pushed and the bar has been continuously raised.
The new Aoralscan Eite Intra Oral Scanner from Shining 3D will change intra oral scanning forever.
Not only does this new super lightweight scanner deliver speed and incredible image quality, but it is also the first IOS to incorporate Photogrammetry within the same device.
Intra Oral Photogrammetry IPG
This innovative technology utilises a calibrated kit of Coded Scan Bodies that are specific to the abutment level implant system being used by the dentist.
Upon completion of the intra oral edentulous scan, the coded scan bodies are systematically placed in the mouth. The photogrammetry stage is then completed to record an accurate record of the implant positions.
A third scan is taken to align the edentulous scan with the implant positions. For ease of communication with the laboratory design software, the user preferred scan flag data is superimposed to accurately represent the actual implant positions. A simple CAD-CAD geometric alignment within the laboratory software ensures reliable transfer of the implant positions.
Advantages of Aoralscan Elite over Extra Oral Photogrammetry
Size: The coded scan bodies have a lower profile and are therefore easier to place in tighter spaces.
Ease of Access: Extra-oral photogrammetry can be challenging as it is not always possible to access all scan bodies at the same time. This is not a challenge for Elite.
All-In-One Device: By capturing an intra oral scan and a photogrammetry scan in one workflow, the data is aligned reliably by default.
Overall Better Patient Experience: The speed of scanning and slimline scan bodies ensure an experience that is faster and more comfortable for your patients.
High Accuracy Coded Scan Kits
To maximise the adaptability of Aoralscan Elite, Shining 3D have developed a range of High Accuracy Coded Scan (HACS) kits.
Each kit is ordered separately and is specific to the implant system that is being used. The scan bodies are provided in three different sizes with three of each provided in each kit.
After use, the kit can be autoclaved to ensure the highest degree of sterilisation is achieved.

Note: Elite Scan Body Kits are only applicable for multi-unit type abutments. Fixture level scan bodies are not available. Scan bodies are available to buy individually to add to an existing kit. Scan bodies cannot be mixed.

Shining 3D have introduced two Cart solutions to complement you Aoralscan Intra Oral Scanner and enhance the scanning experience.
